Tree Services FAQs

How do you dispose of the clippings?

As part of our standard service, we chip and remove all clippings. Leaves are then sent for composting, while large branches, trunks and roots are chipped on site. The chippings can then be used for mulch or burned to generate energy. We can also leave the clippings with you if you wish.

Do I need to be at home when the work is carried out?

Not necessarily, we only need access to your yard or garden, so there is no need for you to be there unless you wish. Our reputation is such that most of our customers are happy for us to carry out the work without supervision.

I think my tree is sick. Can you help?

Yes, we are qualified arboriculturists, so treating sick trees is what we do. We'll first need to examine your tree to identify the problem. If the tree can be saved, we will then put forward a treatment plan. In the unlikely event that the tree can’t be saved, we can arrange for safe removal.

What is deadwooding?

Deadwooding is the process of removing dead branches. These should be removed before they begin to rot. Rotten branches can easily fall, causing injury and even death. Dead branches also increase the risk of disease taking hold of a healthy tree. Deadwooding is therefore vital if you are to maintain your trees' health.

Do I have to have my stump removed?

No, if the stump is on your property, you don’t have to remove it, but it is advisable to do so. Stumps from diseased trees can easily spread disease to nearby trees while stumps can also play host to termites and fungal pathogens.

Will I need a permit to remove trees on my property?

That depends on the location of your property. Trees located on private property are governed by the Department of Environmental and Heritage Properties. Homes located in heritage areas will almost always require a permit to remove trees. If you're unsure, we can help determine if your tree will require a permit before removal.

What qualifications do you have?

Our leading arboriculturist holds a Diploma in Arboriculture, a Certificate III in Conservation & Land Management and a Certificate III in Forest Growing & Management. On top of that, we have more than 15 years of experience supporting home and business owners in the Toowoomba area.
